From 85% Carmenere and 15% Syrah, made by consultant wine guru Alvaro Espinoza. Hand harvested at a natural high acidity, and aged on the lees for 3 months. Apaltagua is producing one of the best Chilean Rose wines out there. This really reminds me of Provencal Roses’ with the crisp refreshing dryness and wonderful array of light berry flavors.

TASTING NOTES

Apaltagua Carmenere Rose has perfumed aromas of tart red fruit, such as raspberry. With floral notes such as rose, as well as hints of citrus, there is a touch of light balsamic and subtle spice. In the mouth it is fresh and dry, with a medium body and a long finish.
